Emily Pauling earned her Bachelor of Arts with high distinction from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where she attended on a full-tuition scholarship and graduated with a triple major in English, communication, and journalism and screen studies, with a focus in journalism. She also received a writing certificate and the Honor Scholar Award in Public Communication and Culture Studies from the university.
Since graduation, Emily has worked as an editorial assistant at The Voice newspapers, which serve upper Macomb County and St. Clair County in Michigan. In her job, she writes short articles, edits stories from the paper’s staff reporter and freelancers, runs the community calendar and announcement section, and does any other task her local editor needs her to do. Emily has also had a poem published in Z Publishing’s Michigan’s Best Emerging Poets.
Emily specializes in editing news articles, press releases, and academic writing.
