Our Quotes series is the easiest of all of our current series to submit to. Unlike many of our other books, you do not need to have been invited to join this book; if you stumble across this page out of the blue, feel free to submit a quote. Additionally, very little time is required of you--perhaps a minute or two to think of your quote, and another minute to submit it here. Two minutes of your time, and you're well on your way to being a published author!
Quite similar to The Happiness Book (feel free to submit to both!), Little Book of Inspiration will be composed of about 500 inspirational quotes--all contributed by ordinary members of society just looking to brighten up somebody's day! The estimated date of publication for this book is late July, 2017. The submission deadline for this book is Sunday, August 27th.
If you decide to submit a quote (or several quotes), please keep the following submission guidelines in mind.
-Your quote(s) should seek to perform a very simple task: Inspire someone. Imagine you are writing directly to a friend or family member, how would you inspire them? Would you write a short line about the beauty of life? Would you give them advice for how to find their inner motivation? Would you inform them of a personal technique that you have used to find happiness, love, or success? Simply do your best to brighten someone's day, in the way you best know how, and leave the organizing to us!
-We will accept a maximum of five quotes from any one person. You may submit a total of six quotes (attached in one document, and/or using the provided boxes), and if one or more of your quotes have been accepted you will be notified via email soon after the submission deadline has passed.
-We do not accept quotes with a strong political bend.
-We do not accept quotes with an excess of profanity, sexual content, or violence.
-If submitting via attachment, do not include documents of over 30 pages in length. Microsoft Word is greatly preferred. We will not open any documents under formats we do not recognize.
-The maximum word count per quote is 100 words. There is no minimum word count.
-The writing must be completely your work, and not simply taken (or plagiarized) from the Public Domain or from the work of another author.
-By submitting your work for publishing consideration, you acknowledge that you've read and agreed to our copyright policy.
-Your quote(s) can be serious, dramatic, funny, witty, ironic, or a mix of all of the above, so long as the quote(s) are inspirational in some way!
-Be patient: Please do not email us to check on the status of your submission. If you received an automatic confirmation email after making your submission, you can rest assured that we received it. When the submissions have been chosen for each new book, we will notify the chosen authors via email.
We are always looking for new contributors, so don't be shy. We'll be looking forward to your submission!
